Puerto Bahia Update.

On a recent trip to the Dominican Republic,I took a flight over to Samana to get an update on the progress at Puerto Bahia.

To say it is taking shape is a severe understatment.I got to see all aspects and areas of the site from 90 feet above sea level at the top to 15 feet above sea level in the Marina area.

They were pouring the 4th floor on the hotel the day i was there,but i was able to get up to the 2nd floor and walkthrough all units.

The views from the hotel units over Samana Bay are breathtaking and when there are boats in the Marina it will be even more impressive.

The new highway from Santo Domingo to Samana is progressing well and they expect to be finished by June this year.The developer of Puerto Bahia does not share their enthusiasm and expects completion closer to the end of the year.

He expects to have the grand opening of the resort in December 2008 as planned.

New land around the initial project is being purchased by the developer and plans for the extension of Puerto Bahia are already in full swing.He is opening 3 new areas of the development in the next 8 months.

The overall plan of the Puerto Bahia project is to secure all coastal land between the initial site and Samana town and extend the project the full 4 mile stretch.See the updated project plan and brochure on this page.

Overall the property market is very strong in the Dominican Republic and Puerto bahia is definatly one of the strongest developers with Project plans that far exceed the initial concept.
